What’s cool about Cuil (cool)?

Recently I came to know about new search engine name CUIL pronounced as cool, but when we talk about any search engine before Google its look like that we are joking and definitely appearance of any new search provider is taken as doubt.

As far as we have seen there is been no change in core search interface for last few years of searching with Google. Ask to those users who are using it for last few years.

Then here comes the new challenger, to dethrone the crown of Google, launched on 28 July this year. And this is remarkably different from Google, and if you thinking that no one dethrones Google search think again.

According to the e-week magazine august issue, in their review section, both the founders (Costello & Patterson) felt limited by the constraints of Google's traditional link and traffic analysis which picks the ten most popular link.

Some cool things about Cuil…

  • Cuil the company was created by Stanford University graduates Tom Costello, the company's CEO, and his wife, Anna Patterson, who is president and chief operating officer.
  • Costello researched and developed search engines at Stanford University and IBM, while Patterson was most recently an architect of Google's large search index and led a Web page ranking team.
  • $33 million venture.
  • Cuil's technology analyzes the context of each page and the concepts behind each query. It then organizes any similar search results into groups and sorts them by category in three columns across the page in magazine-style fashion.

The biggest claim of this search engine on comparison to Google, it has 120 billion pages search index, while Google has 40 billion pages.

But like all things have some flaws this also have it sometimes shows a blank search or no result found, but Google has nothing like this.

Movie review - Bachana e hasino

While watching this movie, one thing always comes into my mind that how many movies will be inspired by the great DDLJ, no absolutely no this movie is not inspired by it but it could be. So the movie starts with Raj Sharma (Ranbir kapoor) aka the Killer in his group is only 18 year old when he met his first of the three girls Mahi(Manissa Lamba) a punjabi girl (reminds me of Kareena by the costumes from JAB WE MET) and behaving themselves as the Raj & Simran, but after roaming the whole Switzerland with a scooter and also with a song their story comes to an end with shocking revelation that Raj is just make fool of Mahi and she doesn't tolerate this and seprated. Then the story comes to the year 2002, Raj Sharma is now with Microsoft and living a LIVE-IN relationship with Radhika(Bipasha) the aspiring model, and after some comic sequences he also left her on his wedding day. And now comes the year 2007 and Raj Sharma is in Sydney, Australia again with Microsoft. Living the life king size and during one such steamy sequence with the blonde girl he met with last of the third girl Gayatri( Deepika) a taxi driver, b-school student, storekeeper and intelligent as well and for the first time Raj fall in love with her, but she doesn't want to marry him and from that the story turns and Raj has got moral that don't break others heart and after feeling guilty about past relationships he go back to those girls to say sorry.
In between them there is typical yash-chopra type home resembling of DDLJ, while Raadhika becomes Shreya, the top model, hire Raj as her P.A . Finally in the movie the Swiss was looking good and the Manissa as well infact the best she can look, Bipasha is also looking hot, and the most and the heartwarming was Deepika, while Ranbir kapoor was felt his presence on screen.
the music was so good i think all the songs are worth listen and the background score is also electric specially the sound of flush catches the attraction.
I will give it 3 out of 5.

Tales from the streets

Today while writing my second blog i am quite happy because of two reasons the first the important one is that today, first time in the last 28 years or so Abhinav Bindra becomes the first Indian to do this miracle of winning a GOLD medal indivisually. And right from the morning when i listen this news from the Ashish(via Abhishek during the movie) i don't stop smiling on this stupendous achievement from a great Indian. And the second one is that today i have watched a movie for which a huge crowd is waiting for it and the movie was just a Huvva.
